Asus Fermi ENGTX480 and ENGTX470 Video Card Specifications

The excitement over the release of Fermi video cards has reached a fevered pitch and the wait is just about over!  Today we received news on the Asus ENGTX480 and ENGTX470 offerings.  These cards offer massive amounts of memory and extremely high core clocks (See details next page).  For the time being it looks like the Fermi cards will be the king of the hill in the video card world.


Here are a couple pictures and the specs of the Asus ENGTX480.  This card looks very impressive to say the least!!

• Memory size: 1536MB GDDR5
• HDCP ready
• Mini HDMI Native Port

• DirectX 11 Ready
• Voltage Tweak for Maximum performance.
• EMI Shield: Effectively blocks 66% radiations to protect user’s health and improve graphics clarity.

The PDF version of the spec sheet can be downloaded HERE.  It was noticed that some of the information in the PDF is obviously incorrect, so take the information with a grain of salt and don’t blame OCT, we didn’t make them!


The ENGTX470 in itself is pretty impressive looking as well.  Here are the specs of this slightly lesser offering.

While it may be to soon to tell how these new cards will perform, just looking at the specifications would lead one to believe they will be a giant step forward, stay tuned!!
