The Thermaltake Dasher Gaming mouse pad comes packaged in a long square box, proudly displaying the eSports logo along with the Dasher logo.  The box is colored in the typical Thermaltake industrial red and black theme.

The specification list of this Dasher Gaming mouse pad are short and sweet.  The dimensions are (LxWxH): 400 x 320 x 4mm or 15-3/4 x 12-1/2 x 1/8 inch.  The Mouse pad is made from a cloth weave surface with a rubber base.  Upon opening the box you are greeted with the mouse pad rolled up and secured with a Velcro strap.  Also included in the package is a carrying bag for the mouse pad, which allows easy transport to and from your LAN parties, all the while keeping your Dasher Gaming mouse pad clean.  There is also a multi-language booklet enclosed explaining the warranty, which in this case is one year.

Once you un-roll the Dasher Gaming mouse pad, the first thing that gets your attention is the size of this bad boy.  The hard core gamers amongst you will appreciate the large amount of real estate provided by the Dasher mouse pad.  There is little chance your mouse will fall off the edges of this pad while in the heat of the battle, which is a confidence builder as you frag your way through the competition!  As mentioned in the specifications, the bottom of the Dasher Gaming mouse pad is made of rubber and is textured to ensure a great grip to your desktop.  While testing the Dasher Gaming mouse pad, never once did it slide or become unstable, it really grabs the surface well.  We tested both an optical mouse and a ball type mouse on the Dasher, both were very responsive.  The ball mouse grabbed the surface extremely well and we felt in command while navigating around.  As far as the optical mouse, there is nothing better than a solid black pad to maximize the effectiveness of the optics, and this is where the Dasher Gaming mouse pad excels.  If you have ever used a light colored mouse pad in conjunction with an optical mouse you undoubtedly have experienced “dead” spots while moving the mouse around.  These “dead” spots are non existent with the Dasher Gaming mouse pad.
