Conclusion

This is one impressive piece of equipment. Its well engineered with quality parts right down to the screws and brackets. The concept of ‘thoughtfulness’  has been driven through from an installation and configuration point of view. It cools an Overclocked Core I7 920 cooler far better than the ‘OEM’ kit and produces much less noise. The colour of the fans is subject to taste. Note: that if like this reviewers case you have a 120mm exhaust fan lined up with the CPU for an in at the front out at the rear straight airflow set up, this cooler obstructs the exhaust fan somewhat. However  saying that one is unable to fault the performance, ease of installation and general air of top gear.If you pick the C version rather than the upright it is because you are looking to get either low profile, high clearance around the socket or want the cooling effects on the surrounding MOSFETS and chipsets. This is a high-quality and we doubt very much you’ll be disappointed or tearing your hair out with installation or performance woes.

Noctua has become a brand that we expect high-things from and as usual they have not failed to deliver. Once again the Noxtua NH-C14 CPU cooler has lived up to the companies consistent standard of quality and performance, it seems that we should not take that for granted.

  Pros:

  • Good protective packaging
  • Quality accessories
  • Great Thermal Compound included as standard
  • Solid feel throughout (and we are not just talking about the weight)
  • Interesting concept
  • Did we say quality? Then we will say it again Quality, Quality and Quality

Cons:

We really could not think of anything negative to say really. However if we must nit-pick then we could mention that the fan colour is subject to taste.

Overclockers Tech are proud to announce that the Noctua NH-C14 richly deserves a 9.1 out of ten and therefore a gold award
